In the design world, having ‘more of the same’ generally does not work all too well as a decorating approach. This is truer in case of color. Filling up a room with the same color is considered both ungainly and bland. It is often the contrast between three or more colors that gives a room its uniqueness and personality.
Unused floor space under the stairs? Get creative! We’ve seen everything from chairs and reading lights, customized bookshelves, foldout desks, and TVs added to this space. Of course, a much more common (but much less fun) use for this space is basic storage.
The other defining point of contemporary design is that it’s constantly evolving. Unlike other styles which are more or less set in stone, what’s of the moment today may change in a few years’ time. Today, the look is defined by curved lines, neutral colors and minimalism, but it may look slightly different in the future.
Setting up a contemporary look for your dining area oozes out a homey feel making it a good place to extend the bonding activity with the family members. Selecting the fixtures and accents you want to put into your room greatly contributes to make the interior an adorable place to dine in.
