Sooyah Jun
Christine "Sooyah" Jun is an original member of Comic Diversity. Sooyah was born and raised in Queens, New York by a single mother. Being a product of two immigrant musicians, she always dreamt of being a singer until she became addicted to the art of stand up comedy in the summer of 2010. Sooyah is inspired by Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Lewis Black, Tina Fey, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor and many others. Sooyah has performed in sold out shows at Comix, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and performs all over New York City. Unlike her other fellow Asian Americans, she's terrible at math. She cannot add or subtract to save her life. She needs your help. Please support her comedy!
Tmor
Tmor is a stand-up comedian who mines the funny from life’s contrasts. The son of a college graduate and a high school drop out, he grew up on both sides of the tracks. Born and raised in San Francisco, he spent his days between his maternal grandmother in the projects and his paternal grandmother in a residential district. His comedy draws upon the real-world “hood knowledge” imparted from the pimps, players, hustlers and addicts on his mother’s side of the family and the “college knowledge” shared by the intellectuals on his father’s side.
Tmor is the quintessential Gemini, part nerd, part gangsta. While acing gifted classes in high school, he was also a founding member of a gang in the Fillmore section of the City by The Bay. His street savvy kept him from having more than light brushes with the law, and when drug abuse threatened to destroy him, he overcame his addiction–to drugs that is. He’s picked up a new habit: making people laugh on stage. As a founding member of the troupe Comic Diversity, Tmor has performed for sold out audiences at the Laurie Beechman Theater. His appearances also include Comix Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Night Out, Together Apart Presents: Straight Talk No Chaser, and Art Sanctuary Presents: The Celebration of Black Writing.
